Raising Student Voice for Stopping Cyberbullying
Virtual Brief Paper
ID: 49282
Abstract: With the increased use of social media, cyberbullying has become a major concern. Studies have demonstrated its enduring and deteriorating effects. In this presentation, we will report a study conducted with students attending a middle school in the Midwestern United States to investigate their perceptions of cyberbullying. Results showed that more than half of the students indicated being affected by cyberbullying more than once. We analyzed their response patterns to explore similarities and differences between affected and non-affected students.
