This paper reports on the findings of a new diabetes management program designed for young adults (N=97) with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Participants attended six educational sessions conducted in either a Virtual (V) environment or traditional Face-to-Face (FTF) setting. Data was collected, at various time intervals, on participants’ attendance, satisfaction, and interest in the educational sessions. Even though significantly more FTF participants attended the six sessions than V participants, both groups evaluated the sessions similarly for level of interest, satisfaction, and enjoyed interacting with diabetes subjects in their own age group.
