Share Paper: Using Simulation Based Learning to Increase Multicultural Awareness in Educators

Abstract: Data gathered from 440 preservice and inservice teacher educators on the Multicultural Awareness Questionnaire (MAQ), before and after practicing teaching via simSchool multicultural education modules, confirmed significant (p < .05) gains from pretest to post test in three of the six areas assessed by the MAQ. Analyses reconfirmed that many of the originally-developed clusters of items from the MAQ continue to produce reliable measurement scales 25 years after their creation.
