In simple terms, the use of digital video is exploding in the educational environment. In this workshop participants will have an opportunity to explore the excitement of creating in this medium. iMovie is an easy way to get started and to try out editing in a user-friendly environment.

Participants will work in small groups to create and edit a short iMovie. Each participant will have an opportunity to work with the digital movie camera and to share in the editing process. Each participant will take a copy of their iMovie home with them on a CD. Prior to starting work we will take a short period of time to see what iMovie can do and the ways in which it is being used in k12 schools and in teacher education at the current time. Along with their iMovies participants will leave with handouts that provide planning materials and a list of resources.

The workshop facilitators are all Apple Distinguished Educators and have had experience in creating in the iMovie environment.
