Abstract: How can colleges and universities prepare pre-service teachers for effective technology integration into their curriculum and classroom activities so that they in turn can guide their students? This article describes the integration of instructional technology into the foreign language teacher education program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS) and the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC) standards serve as the basis for the teacher education program where pedagogy, context, and technology interface to support student learning. Examples of products and programs that illustrate how technology can enhance teaching practices and student learning are demonstrated and discussed in the context of standards.
