Abstract: High school students have typically obtained numerous technology skills by the time they reach junior and senior status. This paper addresses how and from whom high school juniors and seniors acquire technology skills and how best to present new technologies to students in this age group. Students in a high school video production class were observed and interviewed over the course of three weeks and information obtained from these methods was examined. Both constructivist and objectivist methodologies were examined to explore which methodology best fits the learning style of the targeted population.
