Middle School Philosophy, Technology Integration, and High-Stakes Testing: Can They Co-Exist

Abstract: This paper will delve into this program to ascertain how it differs from a traditional middle school program, how technology is integrated into the curriculum, and determine what successes and/or failures, as based on initial Stanford 9 scores, have resulted. It will also include a discussion on how the rapid growth of the program has affected the teachers who are members of the program, the teachers who are not members of the program, and the school as a whole. Finally, this paper will conclude with an examination of what the future has in store for this program.
