Share Paper: Shake Up and Wake Up the Faculty: A Model for Intervention in Technology Diffusion

Abstract: Abstract: This article describes an experiential learning model for faculty members through a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional conference whereby faculty communicate through learning and discussing a loaded controversial topic using diverse unfamiliar technologies. The model was carried out between college faculty from three different institutions in Israel: a Moslem teachers college, a Jewish secular college and an orthodox Jewish college. The results show that choosing attractive real content can "shake up" the faculty and motivate them to learn new technologies and integrate them in their own teaching.
