Trends in Professional Development, Technology Use, and Student Achievement: A Look into Three Elementary Schools

Abstract: Over the past ten years, a growing body of research has focused on the effectiveness of professional development in K-12 schools and the implementation of professional development school (PDS) and University partnerships. This presentation uses preliminary data from an ongoing research project, which surveyed 74 teachers at three elementary schools, to suggest trends in professional development activities, and the effects on classroom computer use and student achievement.
