Abstract: Designed to encourage scholarly activity and promote professional growth experiences for doctoral candidates, the Residency Portfolio at Marshall University replaced the use of comprehensive exams in 2003. During this session, doctoral students in Curriculum and Instruction with an area of emphasis in Educational Computing will share their experiences through discussion of portfolio projects that have offered unique opportunities for personal and professional growth and reflection. Following an overview of portfolio requirements, symposium participants will discuss a variety of projects, including: handheld computers, online courses, gaming/simulation software, blogging, and multimedia.

No presider for this session.
