Abstract: This presentation reports a research project comparing experience and perceptions of preservice teachers in a Foundations course taught on-line vs. face-to-face. Two groups of entry-level preservice teachers in the same Teacher Education Program were subjects of study in summer 2007 when two sections of the Foundations of Education were taught, one on-line using WebCt and another in traditional face-to-face, both by the same instructor. Participants were assessed on their learning styles and locus of control at beginning of course, and surveyed on their perceptions and experience of class at end of course.
