Abstract: The presence of technology in classrooms has increased in the past decade with the belief that technology will change teachers’ existing practices. Today, more than a thousand K-12 schools have committed to some form of laptop computer initiative. This study focused on a K-12 laptop educators in a large western U.S. school district. Using Fullan’s change in practice model and Posner’s conceptual change model, this study sought to identify laptop use, benefits and challenges, and the level of teachers’ pedagogical change.
