Abstract: There is growing concern that despite having grown up with computers and the Internet, today’s college students may lack the preparation required to effectively use information and communication technology (ICT) in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to assess the information literacy of undergraduate general education students and to describe the impact of ICT education and training. Participants in the study were 198 undergraduate students enrolled in a computer information science (CIS) general education course.
