Abstract: As institutions expand online programs decisions must be made to continue a design that includes blended or hybrid instruction or to adopt a model that embraces a design where all services are available to all students wherever they may be located. Furthermore, when the courses are completely online students need not come to campus to access these services. The arguments are lengthy that students seem to prefer blended instruction. Or is it simply that university’s are not willing to build online programs that serve students everywhere while providing the same support services as their counterparts on campus? This paper will examine the benefits of an online program without blended instruction.
