Special Education Teachers Introduction to
Abstract: The results of this pilot study on the use of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) to aid in the mentoring process of new teachers in today’s special education classrooms provides a snapshot of the promises and pitfalls that lie ahead. To augment a district’s mentoring program, selected volunteer teachers were asked to use four types of telecommunication tools: email, instant messaging, telephone conferencing, and videoconferencing. The findings will address the future considerations for the utilization of technologies provide substantial enhancements to previous mentoring programs.
