Share Paper: Theoretical discussion of means to support pre-service teachers with technology integration

Abstract: The purpose of this presentation is to introduce our technology integration model created based on the situated learning theory. There have been many studies examining means to assist pre-service teachers in understanding technology integration. However, most studies lack the theoretical backgrounds, making it difficult gain insight from and apply features to other situations. Based on extensive literature review, we developed a Situated Technology Integration (SiTI) model and have implemented it for the past four years. The key components of SiTI and implementation examples will be discussed.
