Abstract: Educational Games have been actively promoted in different parts of the world recently. While traditional education games were criticized as unattractive to students and not suitable to help students to learn the 21st century knowledge and skills, other newer games were also found to be too generic that might be remote from school teaching. Based on different learning theories like contructivism, immersion learning, situated learning, we have developed two game-based learning platforms, namely Learning Villages and Farmtasia.
