Share Paper: Providing Basic Training and Resource Connections for Novice, Volunteer ESL/EFL Teachers

Abstract: The BTRTESOL program is being developed to prepare untrained, novice, volunteer teachers of English as a second/foreign language to be more effective, professional, and successful. The program utilizes a minimalist, connectivist, and problem-based approach to teaching these people “the least they should know” and “where to go to learn more.” The need for this program is great and its potential audience is large.
