Abstract: This research project served dual purposes: increase the awareness of the educational systems in both countries and unite 34 pre-service special education and early childhood teachers from two countries through technology in an interactive assignment. The three goals of this project were: 1) familiarize pre-service teachers with the technology that establishes a distance-learning environment, 2) increase understanding of each special education systems (their own and that of the other country), and 3) apply recently learned collaborative skills in their international communications specifically with their peers.
