Panel of Possibilities: Schools Share Successful Implementations of Mobile Learning
Abstract: This panel will share new ideas for using information technologies (mobile Internet) to deliver a variety of mobile learning initiatives. Hear success stories from mobile pilot programs that can be replicated in any school, or that will inspire thinking for new, unique programs. Each school on the panel will demonstrate specific ways they used mobile Internet to carry out their education agenda while preparing students for the workforce of the future. This ‘panel of possibilities’ will also share how and why they added mobile Internet to their curriculum and how the results benefited students and teachers, as well as surprised and delighted administrators. In some cases, mobile Internet was needed to overcome infrastructure or technology challenges at the school, or to address individual learning challenges for students or teachers. Other stories will show how mobile Internet allowed for teacher education or professional development opportunities as an additional value add.
