Abstract: The use of cell phones in the classroom has become increasingly popular in recent years and educators must become knowledgeable in incorporating cell phones into their curriculum. This paper aims to demonstrate an effective use of cell phones in a fourth grade classroom, in which students become actively engaged in solving a mystery. The mystery involves the completion of a scavenger hunt around the school by gathering picture evidence through the use of cell phones. The teacher and students will then record each group’s evidence through a blog website and a polling website will graph the students’ findings.
