Reflective Teaching Practice: The iPod Video Project

Roundtable ID: 31488
  1. Ingrid N. Thompson-Sellers
    Georgia State University

Abstract: As educators, reflection is essential for our continuous growth and development as professionals. However, we can become consumed with the tasks of our personal lives and meeting the goals and objectives required to perform our jobs such that very little time is left for ourselves much less to reflect on our professional practices. Developments in information and communication technology (ICT) promise to make our lives much easier and give us more hours in a day. With this in mind, the video iPod was developed to enhance our reflections as practitioners using a relatively simple and inexpensive tool that fits into our general lifestyle.
