Towards a Model of Building a Teacher-University Group Partnership
Brief Paper
ID: 31549
Abstract: This paper is about a professional development model that was designed to build a collaborative partnership between a group of university researchers and middle school science teachers as part of the SAVE Science project. We discuss the partnership in relation to the way in which it supports the teachers’ professional knowledge as well as aims to improve the students’ assessments. The ways in which the workshops were designed, planned, and implemented thus far are highlighted while also demonstrating how the model is working to date.
