Abstract: A major focus of the MSE Program in Instructional Leadership at Jacksonville State University is to equip new principals with the knowledge and ability to change schools. This paper explains how the redesigned curriculum features the use of technology in each course, and how candidates create an e-portfolio as they move through the program. Aspiring school leaders are introduced to the concepts and techniques for integrating technology tools into K-12 curricula early in the program. They design and implement an action research project to improve student achievement using technology to engage students.
