e-Folios: Comparing Practices Across Institutions
Abstract: Electronic portfolios have been in use in teacher and nursing licensing programs since the late 1990’s. Hundreds of researchers have presented their reflections, findings and theories over the last decade at SITE. However, there has not been a panel comparing e-portfolio implementation across different kinds and sizes of licensing programs and institutions that use the same toolset. We thus propose to share a range of experiences with the audience, and engage them in thinking about the issues of implementation that vary across institutions by type of program, size and complexity when the toolset is held constant and we can focus on the institutional goals, purposes, and practices.
