Abstract: We plan to present the results of a study we conducted in a middle school science classroom in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in which we examined how student-made instructional movies may be used as a constructivist tool to foster meaningful student learning in heterogeneous classrooms. We will discuss the teaching methods and rubrics we used, how we used a Multiple Intelligence inventory to create collaborative student teams, and what we learned from our study.
