Abstract: Technology is increasingly recognized as an integral learning tool for promoting social, linguistic, and cognitive development of young children. Utilizing the virtual building software made by LEGO Digital Design and PC Tablets, Early Childhood Educators were instructed on how to conduct a standardized assessment and work with 3 and 4 year old children in a one-on-one tutorial setting. We used LEGO products “School Start” and “Creative Construction” located on their website. This program provides children with opportunities to “learn by making” and to develop their creative, social and expressive skills while developing a general knowledge and understanding of the world around them.
