Abstract: In this interactive session participants will have the opportunity to consider the best educational theories for successful online teaching practice.Participants will learn about the components of a successful case study that involved the intentional integration of learning taxonomies in an online course.Based on brain research, principles of engaged learning, and learning taxonomies, this session reflects how faculty may consider the application of these concepts in course design, development, and implementation.Subsequently faculty are more engaged with technology and adopting online opportunities for the classroom.Participants will explore these concepts and have the opportunity to consider how learning taxonomies can lead to higher learning outcomes.
