Abstract: Middle and high school teachers in a Research Experience for Teachers (RET) program were required to interact with engineering content and laboratories as well as educational components and keep all the necessary documents and deliverables in order. In years past, this task has been daunting. However, beginning in the summer of 2010 the 12 RET teachers began using a Wiki to share laboratory results, paper drafts, poster drafts, session write-ups, mini-movies, and pictures. Not only did the Wiki result in easier and more efficient communication amongst the teachers, but it also allowed them to learn about the medium in order to use it in their own classes. Experience is the best teacher, and in this RET program the Wiki, central to all of the RET information, was a crucial piece of moving the program forward. Examples and details will be provided about its use, successes, and challenges. Additionally, teacher feedback from focus group sessions will be used as support to these examples and details.
