Abstract: The Presidential Timeline was designed and developed by the University of Texas at Austin Learning Technology Center in conjunction with the Presidential Libraries system of the National Archives. The site houses over 1500 digital objects from the 13 Presidential Libraries. The Presidential Timeline targets three primary audiences: secondary social studies students, secondary social studies teachers, and lifelong learners. In an effort to create technologies that allow users to create and share content, our educational side developed the Create Your Own Timeline Application (CYOTL).
