Abstract: While new information and communication technologies have become a part of our daily lives, children’s and adolescents’ physical activity (PA) has decreased according to many studies. The aim of the study reported here was to investigate pedometers as a pedagogical practice to increase the physical activity of children. The testees in this study (N=20) were 4th grade pupils in a Finnish school. Questionnaires, group interview and data from pedometers were used as methods to collect research data.
