Enhancing Cross-Cultural Openness of Taiwanese EFL Students’ through Online Blog Readings
Abstract: This paper reports the usage of both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analyses methodology in enhancing the cross-cultural openness of Taiwanese EFL students. The study is accomplished in two sequential stages. Stage one involves the formulation of the survey questionnaire, using focus group interviews and background literature review regarding the factors that affect cross-cultural perception and flexibility of Taiwanese EFL students. Stage two of the study involves the implementation of the online multimedia cross-cultural interventions blog readings. Findings shall provide educators an insight into the different factors involved in the enhancement of the Taiwanese EFL students’ cross-cultural openness. Second, the use of online multimedia interventions shall be utilized to provide students more learning opportunities, which help them promote their cross-cultural awareness.
