Abstract: Abstract: In Kuwait, as in many countries, there is a perceived need to develop the creative autonomy of teachers and students, as well as their use of ICT. In this context we conducted research on the effectiveness of a new CPD based on supporting teachers as action researchers. Teachers acted as action researchers studying their use of the information communication technology in their classroom practice. The findings from the teachers’ semi-structured interviews analysis indicated that teachers’ subject knowledge expertise affected their practice and ICT use.
