This paper details the importance of motivation and the impact the use of technology can have in enhancing students’ motivation. The use of technology to enhance student motivation is well-documented in the literature. Students are motivated by how they perceive the task before them, their abilities, and by the meaning they are able to create from the task. Technology is a natural tool to use to enhance student motivation by engaging students in learning, building self-confidence and self-efficacy, and tapping into the many benefits that utilizing technology can offer.
