Abstract: This paper is a report on a statewide technology leadership project called The Nevada Pathway Leadership Project, which is working on technology leadership skills with forty-five administrators across Nevada. The grant trains administrators in technology integration and support for their teachers who are participating in the sister project, Nevada Pathway Project. Findings indicate that technology integration is less likely to originate with the administrative team; rather, it comes from the teachers and students working with the equipment. In working directly with administrators, professional development challenges include buy-in, busy time schedules, competing with district, state and federal mandates to be implemented by administrative teams and finding technology bundles to help them develop professionally using specific equipment and Web 2.0 applications.
