Abstract: The goal of this project-based learning experience was to raise the level of student engagement and learning within two university courses in our teacher education cohort. Student ownership and technology integration were the primary vehicles that drove this project. The faculty members supported the project with guiding rubrics and facilitated the process with mini-lessons based on student need and with guidance to resources and tools. Prezi, the web-based zooming presentation editor software, was used as an organizational tool for the initial management of the project. Flip Video cameras and other technology tools were used to process and create their presentations. Quality projects and constructive student feedback demonstrated a higher level of student understanding of the content & of the technology tools used for integration as well as enthusiasm for the project.
