Message to the World: Video Self-Authorship
Brief Paper
ID: 31983
Abstract: This paper will describe the pilot and research currently in progress that gives students the opportunity to use visual media as a powerful tool to communicate to one another. Students were asked to create a thirty second video as their message to the world. Across the approximately 60 students in the pilot, multiple themes emerged including hope for others, altruistic messages, directives to others, humor, and environmental concerns.
