Abstract: This paper is an examination of outcomes of a 20-day teacher professional development on engineering research in renewable energy (Research Experience for Teachers). This summer experience included 19 STEM teachers who designed lessons using engineering and energy. Details of the types of technologies explored for use in these lessons range from Mathematica, MathWorks, and Real Time Digital Simulator to EasyLink probes and PowerPoint. Instruments used to collect data in pre- post- post- design are described.
