Abstract: The 21st Century workplace challenges students to be collaborative problem solvers and to think systematically. Relevant and engaging lessons that reflect those needs must provide rich, new opportunities for inquiry-based study. The collaborative Summer professional development project described here provided such a pedagogical mix of inquiry, collaboration, instructional technology, reflection, formative assessment and opportunities for practice, according to teachers and graduate students who completed Phase One of the project.
