Are teachers (still) digital immigrants? Is education (still) 1.0?
Virtual Brief Paper
ID: 31994
Abstract: at almost ten years since the introduction of the stereotypes of “digital immigrant” and “digital native”, this paper aims to examine the current situation in educational environment and to understand whether they (and the subsequent “education 1.0”) are still useful to understand the generation gap between teacher and student, and to improve the quality of teaching, or, on the contrary, they need to be updated or replaced by more fitting metaphors.
