Abstract: This roundtable discussion will share the structure, strategies, and successes of an Assistive Technology for Special Educators course which was delivered online. Online discussions were used to build a cohesive class community and encourage practical and scholarly discourse on assistive technology (AT). The course used multimedia extensively, in particular online video, which enriched teacher candidates understanding of AT and provided them with opportunities to see these devices used with students.
