Tuesday, March 8 10:45 AM-11:15 AM Hermitage B
Abstract: Large datasets of stored information are available for information retrieval and analysis over a wide variety of disciplines. These sources of data can provide valuable experiences for students in classroom settings. Research projects using these datasets assist students to develop quality research questions, conduct studies with large numbers of participants, and practice using statistical software. These projects can be used to investigate quality outcomes, determine regional or national trends, or support evidence for practice in their fields. Finally, student projects using these datasets may be of sufficient quality for oral dissemination and publication.
