Abstract: This presentation will feature a study that sought to examine two specific components of virtual teacher skill development and did so with the struggling learner in mind. First, this study sought to better understand the perceived skill set needed by current virtual teachers in a K-8 teaching environment. Second, this study sought to examine whether virtual teacher perceptions altered based on a whether they served as a virtual general or special education teacher.
