Abstract: Goals of Intercultural Communication include increasing understanding between diverse groups, synthesizing diverse knowledge, and creating inclusive environments. When these goals are applied, the objective is to improve quality, improved because of the diverse input, not despite the diversity. Factors that contribute to success, such as good team communication, understanding mutual expectations, flexibility, listening, and trust, all begin with making meaningful connections to one another. This paper presents various activities educators can use to promote communication, inclusion, and understanding.
