Abstract: A critically thinking and reflective mind seeks understanding, coherence and meaning in what it knows and seeks to systematically apply specific standards of thought to any problem or situation. A mind that is both reflective and critically thinking must be developed and continually exercised, yet most current learning designs fail to require sufficient structured thinking or reflection of how knowledge and values have changed as a result of learning events over time.
