Abstract: The Summer Institute for Online Teaching, a five-week online summer faculty development program, provides online training materials and resources to faculty at a Midwestern University. The Institute leads both novice and experienced faculty through the steps of course development, online teaching, and online assessment. The Institute has been offered for ten consecutive years and has won a national award for excellence. This session will share the preliminary results of a research study that investigated the impact of this online Institute on faculty online teaching practices at this Midwestern University.
