Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the impact of faculty participation in a working group whose focus was to develop and implement best practice in hybrid learning. Two faculty introduced wikis in three preservice classes, with the focus on collaboration. Student survey data indicate that the majority of students prefer on-line collaboration (using wikis) to other types of group projects. Students also report higher levels of engagement in learning, an increase in technological skills, and the intention to use the wiki in their future teaching. Effective professional development/mentoring components necessary for positive faculty growth in pedagogical practices are discussed
