Abstract: This study aims to investigate teacher candidates’ opinions about the effects of background experience coming from educational courses on their point of view of being teacher and preparing them to their profession. Eight teacher candidates were observed in their teaching practice hours and interviewed about educational courses and influences of those courses on teacher candidates’ practical skills. Results showed that educational courses provided several affective teaching skills like being aware of importance of being well-prepared for each class, being calm for unexpected situations and understanding children.
