Abstract: PBworks is wiki software, which has been successfully used by organizations for both educational and administrative purposes. PBworks provides a unique way of collaboration amongst participants who do not have to be tech savvy nor are required to possess prior knowledge of web design and development. In this tutorial participants will learn to use PBworks and its keys features to create, edit and maintain their wiki. Many educational institutes commonly use a learning management system (LMS) as their primary platform to run their courses. Therefore, it is imperative to understand how a wiki can enhance collaboration and interaction. Many teachers and faculty members are not able to distinguish between the pedagogical use of a LMS and a wiki. This tutorial will explain the effective ways of using a wiki on top of a LMS. Wikis are also very successfully used for administrative purposes, which remove the burden from the staff to exchange, save, and email documents. This tutorial will show some examples of how a wiki can be successfully used for administrative purposes.
