Abstract: Should educators be learners? Why do some educators choose not to engage in professional learning? Are educators ethically obligated to learn? If educators are obligated to learn would the decision made by a teacher to not engage in professional learning be unethical? How might adult learning principles help educators rethink the role of educator as learner so as to make ethical decisions about learning? These questions create a lens through which to explore educator engagement in continuous professional learning.
